| FCA Scammer List For W/E 27/06/25 The Financial Conduct Authority keeps an updated list of all the licensed firms in the UK called the Register. They also keep a list of firms known to them who are trying to scam you and the link for that is above titled FCA Warning List. Clone firms are people or companies who look like genuine, authorised firms but in reality are unauthorised scammers pretending to be the real deal. Badger Loans have had experience of people trying to do this to our customers. You can read about that here. You wouldn’t buy a car without first checking the finance so don’t take out a loan before checking it’s coming from a real lender! SCAM BUSTER – w/e 27th June These firms are all on the FCA Warning List. Avoid like the plague. Clone and Impersonator Loan FirmsThe firms below are pretending to be real, FCA-authorised firms but they’re not. No dodgy loan firms again this week but an interesting car insurance clone to steer clear of! Fraud Guard AgencyPremium Wise Insurance Brokers (Clone)Hopefully you have no reason to go near this lot but it’s worth noting that Premium Wise Insurance Brokers are a real, bona fide firm, registered with the FCA. The site we’ve highlighted takes you to a site address of someone called Grand Guard who are pretending to be Premium Wise. The true site is here: http://www.premiumwise.co.uk/ which, to be honest, looks a little dated whereas the clone site is up to date with lights flashing and bells a-whistling. You can never be too careful. Always make sure you are on the correct site! 🦡 Badger Tip: Every firm here is listed on the official FCA Warning List — double-check before you hand over any information and NEVER hand over upfront fees.
